Screen and stage director Matt Boatright-Simon has worked for top companies including Lost Planet, Rhythm and Hues Studios, and the Henson Company. Most recently, he co-directed the media division of Christian Audigier, Inc., a $600 million international fashion conglomerate whose brands include Ed Hardy, Christian Audigier and over 150 other licensees. While at Christian Audigier, he directed and produced commercials, viral projects, promos and films.
Matt has shot and directed 50 commercials and written and directed television programs and a pair of independent feature films. His most notable credits include "Til Night," his debut feature film that was nominated for and won multiple awards, and "Tribute - STW," a documentary about the life and execution of death row inmate and Nobel Prize nominee Stanley Tookie Williams. Matt has filmed such notables as Kanye West, Dave Stewart, Michael Jackson, TI, the Pussycat Dolls, and Mick Jagger, to name a few.
While living and working in London, he co-devised the award-winning stage play "100" which debuted at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival. Additional stage credits include Harold Pinter’s "Dumb Waiter," Joyce Carol Oates’ "Greensleaves," David Rabe’s "Streamers" and Tennessee Williams’ "Auto Da Fe," among others. He directed the West Coast premiere of "By The Sea, By The Sea, By the Beautiful Sea" by Lanford Wilson, Terrence McNally and Joe Pintauro.
Matt studied theater and Chinese at the University of Wisconsin, Madison where he was a member of the national championship crew team.
